The bad(ish) thing is that you will have to do it sooner or later, whether you want it or not.Ĭakewalk's performance and routing are not its strongest side (although still it should not get glitchy after 12 seconds).
The good thing is that you can set it up to be almost anything, it could be your dream DAW. The latter is both its strength and weakness. Reaper is unbelievably powerful and horrendously customizable. The transition was really hard for me (you know, almost 20 years, haha, and all that money I invested into it), but today I absolutely don't regret it, although I still miss 2 or 3 Cakewalk features like x-ray and ProChannel.
